It only affects the specific structures of the hair and follicle, leaving the surrounding skin undamaged. At Parker Skin Care we use medical grade laser technology which safely delivers superior results.

During a laser hair removal treatment, you will experience little or no pain.   An ice pack cools and protects the skin from the heat generated by the laser. The laser targets only the dark melanin in the hair follicle, safely passing through the skin. The intense heat generated by the laser pulse is absorbed by the unwanted hairs, destroying the follicle and stopping regrowth. As you progress with the course of laser treatments, you will notice that the hairs that persist in growing will start to thin out and become less coarse with each session. Eventually, they will become almost fluffy, and the hair will stop growing.

The number of treatments will depend on your expectations.

With the ND-Yag laser hair removal you will see positive results after your very first session and a pattern of progression as your course continues through each session. Results can vary from patient to patient, but we typically see hair reduction after each session.

• You must keep treated areas out of direct sunlight or sunbeds for up to a week after treatments.
• Cover the treated area with sunscreen.
• Avoid hot baths and showers for 48 hours
• Avoid gym activities for 24 hours
• Do not pluck tweeze or wax after treatment. Shave or clip 

The most common side effects are minor and last 1 to 3 days. These side effects include: 

• Discomfort
• Swelling
• Redness
